INPUT SESSIONS BY MR. PRASAD PRABHU from VIVANTA and MR. MAYUR BHANDARI from EXOTICA

On 28th June 2019, Don Bosco VTI was honoured by the visit of Mr.Prasad Prabhu, Learning and Development Manager, Vivanta, Panjim. He conducted a two-hour session on ?Wine Rendezvous? for the trainees of the F&B service course. He shared his extensive knowledge and rich experience with the trainees thereby enhancing their knowledge about various types of wines and the regions in which they are produced and the service of the same in a restaurant. Mr.Prabhu presented some very interesting facts about different types of wines, and the accompanying snacks in order to present the guests with an exhilarating experience. The students were amazed by his knowledge and expertise in the hospitality industry and benefited much from the knowledge which he shared with them. The students attending the session were permitted to taste the wines and give their experience about the wines. The students also made posters displaying the processes involved in the production of wine.
The Housekeeping course students were given a lecture cum presentation by Mr.Mayur Bhandari, Housekeeping Executive from Taj Exotica, Benaulim, Goa. He enthralled the students by the stress he laid on the details of housekeeping in a Five-star Resort. Such details are necessary for creating the standards which are mandatory for grading a resort. Mr. Bhandari also highlighted the importance of proper grooming which is necessary for the staff of a star resort, in order project the desired image of a resort, and thus market the services provided by the resort and attract customers.
